Joy Ricketts passed away on May 22, 2025. She was 90 years old. Joy was the beloved wife of the late George C. Ricketts Sr. with whom she had shared over 61 years of marriage. Joy was a resident of Chapin SC and formerly of Horsham, PA, Toms River, NJ, and Phillipsburg, NJ.
She is survived by her daughter Wendy Mancini and her husband Dean, her son Scott Ricketts, her daughter Donna Covington and her husband Gary and her daughter Dawn Robinson. She had (9) Grandchildren whom she loved dearly Ronna, Kimberly, Matthew, TJ, Zach, Wesley, Corinne, Stephanie and Andre as well as several Great Grandchildren. In addition to her husband Joy was predeceased by a Son, George C. Ricketts Jr. and a daughter-in-law Toni Ricketts.
Joy was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished seeing her family at every chance she got. She especially enjoyed watching Kimberly’s Soccer games and Matthew’s baseball games. She was an avid Baseball fan and was always routing for her team, The Phillies. Another one of her favorite past times was riding her bicycle and reading books.
Joy was a person who was liked by everyone she came in contact with and loved by all that were around her. She was committed to going to church every Sunday to worship and see her friends.
Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, May 30, 2025 after 10 am followed by her funeral service at 11:00 am in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA. Her interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA.
