Kenneth Patrick Yowell of Penllyn PA passed away on January 5 th , 2024, Surrounded by family.
He was the devoted husband of Cindy (Woolever) Yowell with whom he shared 32 years.
He was born in Audobon New Jersey, son of the late Phyllis (Benjamin) Yowell and Edward Yowell.
After graduating from William Tennent High School, he attended Bucks County Community College and
The University of Pennsylvania. He spent 25 years in banking. After leaving the banking industry, Ken
went into private practice which allowed him to become a part of Discovery Service Projects where he
volunteered on several mission trips to Central America. Later he worked for The North Penn School
District in the before and after care program. Ken also spent many years as a Sunday School teacher at
Jarrettown United Methodist Church and Hatboro Community Church. Ken was an avid Philadelphia
Sports fan, especially the 76’ers.
In addition to his wife Cindy, Ken is survived by his son Michael Yowell and his wife Alison and their
children, Jake and Juliet of Westampton, New Jersey, his Step Daughter Megan Stevens and her children
Isabella and Giovanni of Flint Michigan. Ken is also survived by his brother Russell Yowell and his wife
Lynn as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life, Saturday February 10th at 11:00am at Jarrettetown United Methodist
Church, 1460 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ken’s
memory to Discovery Services Projects, P.O. Box 172, Pipersville, PA 18947.
