Kevan Berkovitz Obituary

Kevan M. Berkovitz of Abington passed away on October 30, 2025, in Artis Senior Living Facility of Huntingdon Valley.   The faithful husband of Nancy C. King-Berkovitz with whom he shared 25 years of marriage, he was 69 years. 

Born in the city of Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of Gabriel Berkovitz and Shirley Redman Berkovitz and brother of Gail Berkovitz Tepper, all of whom preceded Kevan in death.

After graduating from Springfield High School, Kevan attended both George Washington University and Temple University.  Kevan was a lifelong salesman, retiring earlier than anyone expected due to the physical difficulties from Parkinson’s Disease. He enjoyed vacationing in Cape May, NJ, with his family, serving as an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and following the Philadelphia teams, his Eagles, the Phillies, and the 76ers. He will be cherished and deeply missed as a passionate, loyal, and funny father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Kevan is survived by two sons, Jay E. Berkovitz and his wife Jess of North Wales, PA, and Phillip J. Bennink and his wife Kyra of Abington, PA, as well his three daughters, Carlie D. Bennink and husband Jeff Dailey of Phillipsburg, NJ, Alayna M. Bennink and her husband Philip Gardner of London, UK, and Giavanna G. Berkovitz of Wilmington, DE, and one grandson, Nicholas.

Friends and family are invited to his visitation from on Wednesday, November 12th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro PA, and to attend his funeral service on Thursday, November 13th at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 2086 Parkview Ave, Abington, PA 19001.
