Kurt C. Schwind of Ann’s Choice in Warminster, formerly of Strathmere, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the age of 84. He was born in Philadelphia, PA a son of the late Kurt Otto Schwind and Gertrude (nee Miller) Schwind.
A 1953 Graduate of Northeast Catholic High School, Kurt earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from LaSalle University. Kurt was a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a Blimp Driver in Lakekhurst, NJ.
He was a member of the Ann’s Choice Pottery Club, Airplane Club, and enjoyed carving and painting various species of ducks and birds. He was also a fisherman during his many years in Strathmere, and enjoyed bike riding at the shore.
Kurt is survived by a brother, Walter E. Schwind, several cousins, dear friends and his beloved cat Simba who he fondly called “Stinker.”
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Church, 625 West Street Road, Warminster, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. His interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in Kurt’s memory may be made to Catholic Relief Services, 228 W. Lexington St. Baltimore, Maryland 21201-3443.
