Lawrence Sandler Obituary

Lawrence (Larry) William Sandler of Churchville, PA passed away of natural causes on April 15, 2020 at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, PA. He was 81 years old. Larry was beloved husband of the late Carol Anne Sandler with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. Larry was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Frank Sandler and Margaret (Peg) Moore Sandler.

After graduating from Upper Moreland High School in 1957, Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served as Military Police until his honorable discharge in 1961. Larry worked at Standard Press Steel upon his return. He entered the plumbing trades through Plumbers Union Local 690. He went on to own his own company until he retired in 2001. Larry received his Local 690 fifty (50) year pin, an accomplishment he cherished. 

Larry loved the outdoors and was an avid and accomplished golfer.  He supported Northampton Township Parks and Recreation as a coach and groundskeeper for many years. Larry along with his wife Carol enjoyed camping, hiking and fishing together with family and friends through many years in the Coleman Camping Club. Larry had is acting debut on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

Larry is survived by his three (3) children Lawrence W., Jr. (Bubba), Barbara and her husband Tom Stein, Laurie and her husband Bob Griffin, two (2) grandchildren Julianne and Jennifer Griffin, his sister, Marlyn and her husband George Popper, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to current stay-at-home and social distancing requirements, interment and a memorial service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA will be deferred until a later date.
