Today, the world lost one of the quintessential women of the "greatest generation". Nana (Lillian Kellogg) passed away suddenly today at the robust age of 94. She was a first generation American, a war bride, shipyard worker, and one of the first women supervisors at the post office. Nana was a tough, stubborn, outspoken woman, but she always had cookies and hot chocolate for us kids. She never slowed down- in her 80's she did Missionary work in India, and travelled to Australia by herself since it was the only place she hadn't gotten to. She suffered through dementia the last few years which was so hard to watch, but she never lost her spunk.
