Linda Ann (Goodwin) Bowes of Leola, PA passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026 in Lancaster County surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old. She was born in Abington, PA a daughter of the late James and Alice Goodwin.
Before retiring in 2020, Linda spent over 30 years working as a school bus driver for the Conestoga Valley, Upper Moreland and Upper Dublin School Districts, a job she took great pride in. She cared deeply for the students she transported and became a familiar and trusted presence for many families in her community. Linda was also an avid Mustang fan and served as the Secretary for the First Pennsylvania Mustang Club. In her free time, Linda enjoyed watching her favorite Philadelphia sports teams- the Flyers, Phillies, and Eagles, watching game shows, reading, and spending time with her family. Her family, friends and neighbors will remember her for her love of Philadelphia sports, her passion for the beach, Ocean City, NJ and her kindness to all who met her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Moyer (Matthew) and Patricia Bowes Perez (Michael), and her beloved grandson, Victor Montgomery. Linda is also survived by her brothers, James Goodwin (Mary Ellen) and William Goodwin (Rosemary); her sister Susan Donahue (Wayne); her sister-in-law, Patricia Spencer (Gordon) as well as several nieces, nephews and their families. Her three cherished grand dogs; Holly Moyer, and Bailey and Seamus Perez miss her already. Linda was preceded in death by her longtime companion Edwin White Sr. in 2014.
Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA. Her Interment will follow in Hatboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Linda’s memory may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd, Kanab, UT 84741-5000.
