Loreto Capili Obituary

Loreto Capili of Hatboro, PA passed away March 6, 2026 surrounded by family at Jefferson Abington Hospital, the same hospital his son, Matthew, is a nurse at. He was 69 years old at the time of his heavenly transition. Loreto was the devoted husband of Devon and the beloved dad of Jonathan and Matthew.

Born in the Philippines, Loreto was the son of the late Pedro and Antonina Capili.

Loreto was a sailor in the United States Navy and faithfully served our country for 20 years. After his time in the military, he continued to serve his community as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service before retiring during the 2020 pandemic. Loreto was a simple man; he was completely content relaxing in his recliner, watching sports, and going to town on a pint of Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream. He especially loved tennis, frequently visiting New York to partake in the US Open festivities. But out of all the sports he enjoyed, his favorite team to watch was UConn Women's Basketball, even being in attendance when they won the National Championship in 2025. Above all, his favorite hobby was spending quality time with his family, especially his two sons.

He is survived by spouse, Devon; sons, Jonathan and Matthew; miniature poodle, Drizzy; brothers, Laudemer, Laurel, and Librado; sisters, Leila, Lilia, Lolita, and Lucy.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, March 18 after 10am in St. David Church, 316 Easton Rd, Willow Grove and attend his Funeral Service at 11am. His interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
