Ludwig Pisch Obituary

Ludwig “Lou” Pisch, age 81, a resident of Davenport, Florida, formerly

Sea Isle City, New Jersey and Hatboro, Pennsylvania passed away

peacefully at his home on March 7, 2026 after a year long battle with

cancer surrounded by his wife and daughter. He was the devoted

husband of Diane (Dee) Pisch with whom he shared 47 years of

marriage.

Lou was born in Budweis, Czechoslovakia, the son of the late Frank and

Rose (Zika) Pisch. He was raised in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, where he

lived for many years while raising his family. Later in life, he moved to

Sea Isle City, New Jersey, where he enjoyed the shore and spending

time with friends and family. In recent years, he made his home in

Davenport, Florida.

Growing up, Lou enjoyed playing soccer and served as goalie for the

Vereinigung Erzgebirge club team for many years.

Lou was a 1964 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School. He then

joined the Air National Guard of Pennsylvania in 1965 and was a

reserve of the Air Force. While serving, he earned a Small Arms

Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious

Service Ribbon. He was honorably discharged in February 1972.

Lou then joined the Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro. Through

years of dedication and service, Lou rose through the ranks to become

Chief. Lou began his career at Tinius Olsen Testing Machine Company

where he worked for 48 years until his retirement in 2013.

In his free time, Lou enjoyed working with his hands, creating stained

glass windows, gardening, and spending time at the shooting range. He

also loved volunteering in Sea Isle City, educating visitors about the

history of the area—a passion he cherished throughout his life.

In addition to his wife Dee, Lou is survived by his daughter Wendy and

husband Eric, of Telford; his two granddaughters, Brianna and Skylar;

a brother Wenzel and sister-in-law Joan; his niece Cheryl (Joe) and

nephew Eric (Tina). He was preceded in death by his godson Brian

Pisch.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, March

28th after 10:00am in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd,
