Margaret Cooke Smith of Doylestown, PA passed away on June 25 th , 2023 in Warrington, PA. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, W Roy Smith, Sr with whom she had shared 46 years of marriage. She was one of 12 children, born of strong Irish heritage in Philadelphia, PA on December 29, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Anne (Diver) Cooke.

After graduating from John Bartram High School, she began her career at First Pennsylvania Bank. Margie temporarily left the workforce after her and Roy Sr were surprised with the news that they were having twin boys just days before their arrival. In 1989 Margie and her husband co-founded A/S Custom Furniture Company. She served as the accounts payable and payroll coordinator until her retirement in 2020. Margie was a member and volunteer with the Girls Friendly Society as well as the Church of the Advent over the years. She was an avid reader, and Hallmark Channel binger who enjoyed spending time at her vacation home in Ocean City, NJ as well as visits with her beloved sister Susan and brother- in-law Tom Scott. However, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren who referred to her lovingly as “Marnie.” Margie will be remembered as a quiet, loyal, and sincere woman deeply devoted to her family.
