Margaret A. Zygmont passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on January 26th, 2024 at 69 years of age. Margaret was preceded in passing by her father John F. Zygmont and her mother Doris Mae Zygmont; as well as two of her younger siblings Jane M. Zygmont and Michael R. Zygmont. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law; Ryan and Taylor (nee Johnston) Zygmont of Philadelphia, PA, her grandson Leonardo H. Zygmont, siblings; Kathleen Recklitis, John J. Zygmont Sr., and Stephen Zygmont, several nieces and nephews, in-laws, and caring neighbors.
Margaret was a faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Horsham, PA. She was a graduate of Millersville University with a Master’s degree in Education, and spent many years sharing her love of learning as a teacher. Margaret was a believer in treasures and always had an affinity for searching for the best and most beautiful in the unexpected and unusual. Margaret found so much joy in being a mother and grandmother and was blessed to share the last year of her life adoring Leonardo. She loved the beach and her long-time home in Avalon, NJ on the bay. She left behind her the goodness of looking for the best, caring beyond reason, and the treasures of good memories. The world was left a better place for having had Margaret and her deep devotion to her faith, raising her son, teaching, being a family member, and a friend; always doing the best with what she had.
Relatives and friends will be received by her family at St. Catherine of Siena, 321Witmer Rd, Horsham, PA 19044 at 10:00AM on Friday, February 9, 2024 for the viewing, followed by an 11:00AM mass. Her interment will follow in Hatboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers; donations can be made in Margaret’s Honor to Lewey Body Dementia Association at https://www.lbda.org/donate/.
