Melissa A. Stokes

Melissa A. Stokes of Hatboro, PA lost her courageous battle with endometrial cancer on July 24, 2024 at her home in Hatboro, PA surrounded by her family. She was born in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of Robert B. Stokes Jr. and Deborah Stokes.

Melissa, better known as Missy to her family and friends, graduated from Upper Moreland High School. She went on to receive her associates from Montegomery County community college. She was best known for her kind nature and big heart. She enjoyed family trips to Ocean City, NJ and adventures to Disney World. She swam with dolphins in the Caribbean with her sister, and was fond of trips to Atlantic City. Melissa surprised everyone with her luck of winning contests. She won concert tickets, a trip to the Bahamas and tickets to Super Bowl LI, all who she shared with the people she loved. Melissa was an avid movie lover and was a proud member of house Hufflepuff from the Harry Potter universe. She was always giving and caring to others. The world lost a true angel. 

Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert Stokes Sr., M. Patricia Stokes, Angelo Rose Sr., and Dorothea Rose. Uncles Jerry Meo, Richard Meo and Jack Fitzpatrick. Aunts Lori Kopfinger, Patricia Meo and cousin Benjamin Stokes. She is survived by her parents, brother Robert Stokes III and his wife Nicole, and her sister Sara Watkins and her husband Bruce.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday August 1, 2024 at 10:00am at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd, Hatboro, PA, and to attend her funeral service at 12:00pm at the same location. Her interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
