Michael Novak, Jr. Obituary

Michael J. Novak, Jr. of North Wales passed away on August 20, 2024.  He is survived by his loving Bride of 55 years, Ann M. Novak.  Michael was born in Luzerne, PA, a son of the late Michael and Helen Novak, Sr.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his loving children; Michele Vitale and husband Philip, Debra Beck and husband Donald, Nancy Nuebling and husband Chris, Douglas Smith and wife Jane, and 2 brothers; Jerome and James Novak. Michael was predeceased by son, Bradley Smith, who is survived by his wife Sandy. He enjoyed spending time with his wonderful 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.  Michael worked for Henkels and McCoy for 34 years, then retired.

Michael was a devoted and loving Husband and Father to his family.  A U.S. Army Veteran, he proudly served during the Korean war.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, growing tomatoes, hot peppers and roses.  Michael also was known for his accomplished paintings and drawings of flowers and birds. What those who knew him well and will remember and miss, was his talent as a storyteller and his quick jokes and silly riddles!    

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Graveside Memorial Service on Saturday, September 7th at 12:30 p.m. in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Michael’s memory may be made to; DAV – Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
