Paul Walter Bachurski (88) passed away peacefully at his home in Hatboro, PA on July 3, 2023. Born in Abington, PA, Paul was the son of the late Walter J. and Helen (Czerwonka) Bachurski.
Paul was raised in Horsham with his sister Helen (Bachurski) McCandless, attended Hatboro-Horsham High School and was active on the school’s baseball and football teams. He proudly served his country in both the US Navy and then the US Army. After his military service, he worked with Acme Markets for 40 years as a meat cutter, retired and had a second career as a duty aide monitor at Hatboro-Horsham High School.
At one of his first jobs in Jenkintown, Paul met the love of his life, (Beatrice) Joyce Zintner. Together they had a family of four children. Paul was an ardent Philadelphia sports fan, a collector of baseball memorabilia and enjoyed playing his lottery numbers. He was strong-willed, but also had a strong love of family.
Paul is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce. He is survived by daughter Karen Saalfrank and her husband George Andrew of Souderton, and sons Keith P. Bachurski and his partner Sarah of Mesa, AZ, Ken W. Bachurski and his wife Tracy of Quakertown and Kipp J. Bachurski and his wife Nora of Hatboro, along with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are planned at Washington Crossing National Cemetery and will be followed by a celebration of life. Details will be provided by family members.
