Philip P. Roma, of Essington, passed away on August 22, 2021. He was 68 years old. Born in Chester, PA, he was a son of the late Marie and Felix Roma.
Phil was loved by so many. He is survived by his partner, Traci Albuck; his daughter, Danielle Roma; his beloved dog, Max; his siblings Ronald Roma, Marie (Roma) Mulholland, and Thomas Roma. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends who loved him dearly.
After graduating from Nether Providence High School, Phil attended Temple University where he earned his Associates Degree in Architecture. In his earlier years, Phil was a musician and played accordion and piano in a band. He passed his love for music down to his daughter, Dani. Phil was a skilled carpenter and spent the majority of his career at Lower Merion School District, where he retired after 23 years. He loved volunteering as a softball coach and made a big difference in many kids' lives. Phil’s favorite thing and biggest passion was fishing. He spent his summers and retirement on the Delaware Bay soaking up the sun, catching fish, and riding the waves with his family and friends. Phil loved to be in the kitchen, especially when he was cooking with food from his garden.
Phil loved life and family, worked hard and played harder, took pride in everything he did, and was always great for a belly laugh. He was fiercely loyal, intelligent, funny, and kind. The world was a better place having had him in it.
