Richard Higgins Obituary

Richard L. Higgins Sr. of Hatboro passed from this life Saturday August 21, 2021 after fighting a long illness. He was 67 years old.  Richard was also a Vietnam Era Veteran that served in the United States Marine Corp in Okinawa, Japan. In his early years he worked for the Pennsylvania Department of the Treasury in Bucks County.  Mr. Higgins was born in Norristown, PA and settled in the Ambler area with his large loving family of many brothers and a sister. In 1981 he married his truly devoted wife Romayne (Haber) Higgins. This year would have marked 40 years of marriage.

Richard and Romayne raised two wonderful sons Richard L. Higgins Jr. and Ryan J. Higgins in which a father could not be more proud of their accomplishments in life. In addition to his wife Romayne (Haber) Richard is survived by his son; Richard L. Higgins Jr (April), son; Ryan J Higgins and his grandchildren; Manny, Hailey, Richard I Higgins III and Oliver Higgins who they affectionately called "pop-pop". He also had a fondness for his "coolest" fish, Frank.

He is also survived by his brothers; Claude (Doris), George (Brenda), a sister; Marta (Bruce) brothers; John(Patti) and Joe (Cindy), his Brother-in-*law Ray Haber (Donna) and many many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased in death by his father, Joseph, mother, Thalia, brother, Daniel, and brother, Omar.

Due to current COVID restrictions the family is planning a celebration of life at a later date. Thank you for your love and support.
