Richard Roy Ruth, Sr.

Richard Roy Ruth, Sr., a 50 year resident of Hatboro, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the age of 79.  He was born in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Martin and Stella Ruth. 

He loved walking and spending time with his dogs, especially Babe Ruth.  He enjoyed gardening, working on the house, dancing and listening to Elvis, and going to the beach, visiting buffets, and taking pictures.  Richard was very proud of the work he did for the Abington School District until his retirement at Abington High School.     

Richard is survived by a son, Rick Ruth and his wife, Stacy; grandchildren, Ryder, Shaelei, and Randon. He is also survived by Mary Ruth; a brother, Bob Ruth; a sister-in-law, Carol Ruth-Brandt; and many nieces, nephews and a large loving family.  In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by a son, Michael Ruth; his brothers, Raymond Ruth and his wife, Marianne, Ron Ruth; and a sister-in-law, Maryann Ruth.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Friday, December 10, 2021 after 10:30 AM in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro,followed by his Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.  His interment will follow in Hatboro Cemetery, Hatboro.
