Our beloved Rita (Durkin) Arnold of Phila., PA passed away on Sept. 10, 2024, at home. She was 88 years old. Rita was the loved wife to Edward Arnold for 66 years and mother of five children, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

She has one surviving sister, Marion Weicker, her husband, Edward, their 2 sons, Jack and Steve, 3 daughters, Pat, Eileen and Michele along with 5 grandchildren, Lee, Klarese, Mason, Morgan and Devon and one great granddaughter, Athena.
Rita attended Little Flower High School in Philadelphia. In her younger years she loved to go bowling and played mahjong. After raising her kids, she worked in local pharmacies until retirement. She was a dedicated member of St. Catherines of Siena and enjoyed chapel services for years along with her sister, Eleanor. Her favorite thing to do were spending time with her “knight-in-shining armor”, reading books and being with family and friends (many long time friends from school). She also love dogs, especially her Maggie and her neighbors dog, Paige.
