Robert Kessler Obituary

Robert J. Kessler, of Buckingham, passed away on Sunday, September 12th, 2021. He was 82 years old. Bob was the devoted and beloved husband of Dolores (Connelly) Kessler with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Theodore (Ace) Kessler and Margaret (Peggy) Brady Kessler.

Bob graduated from Roman Catholic High School in 1957. He grew up working with his father and brothers in the clubhouses of Shibe Park and Connie Mack stadium in Philadelphia. It is here where he developed his lifelong love of baseball. Bob was always happy to entertain others with stories about his time around the clubhouse, his interactions with players, and general trivia about the game.

He went on to spend several decades working at the U.S. Postal Service where he would eventually retire  in 1992.  After leaving the Post Office, he spent time working in the Fox Chase Cancer Center Library. In 1998 Bob and his wife, Dee, moved to Buckingham to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. He soon found himself working at Buckingham Family Medicine where he created lifelong relationships and memories.

Bob was quick to lend a helping hand, share a laugh, or offer a kind word. He was always doing whatever he could to try and brighten someone’s day.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Sandra Miller and her husband, Drew and his loving grandchildren, Kristen and Dan. He is also survived by his sister, Sr. Sandra Kessler (St. Joseph Order) and brothers, Wayne and David.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Friday, September 17th after 10:00 am in St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison and are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. His interment will be private. MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ATTENDANCE
