Robert “Bob” G. Wipplinger of Warminster passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Elaine Cooper Wipplinger, with whom he shared 23 years together. Robert was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the son of the late Alvin and Florence Wipplinger.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children: Lisa Wipplinger and her husband Chuck, Staci Palmer and her husband Jay, Deborah Wipplinger, Chad Wipplinger, and Larry Cooper and his wife Ginger; grandchildren: Kai, Trent, Whitney, Ashlin, Jake, Jessica (Ryan), Noah, Jordyn, Charlie, Ciara, and Ashley, and his great grandson Mason. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother Alvin Wipplinger Jr.
Robert was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served as an Air Traffic Controller while stationed in Oregon during the Vietnam Era. He was an avid toy train collector, enjoyed working with computers and loved working with numbers. Bob also loved old cars and spending time at the beach. His daughters fondly remember summer trips to the Atlantic City seashore in Bob’s Pontiac Catalina convertible and road trips in his Mustang. Later in life, he found great enjoyment in gardening and spending time outdoors.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Thursday, April 21st at 12:30 p.m., followed by his Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro. His interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Robert’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
