Ruth B. Higgins

Ruth B. Higgins, of Hatboro, passed away on August 16, 2021.  She was 102 years old.  Ruth was the beloved wife of the late William J. Higgins with whom she shared over 40 years of marriage.

Ruth is survived by a daughter, Patricia E. John (and her late husband, Tim John); grandchildren, Tim John III (Ed Albright), Tammy John-van Steenburgh (Jason), Jeff Miller (Renee), and Wendy Spadacci (Brian); and great-grandchildren, Sasha and Talya van Steenburgh, Ryan and Emily Miller, Zachary, Christopher, and Matthew Spadacci.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Ruth E. Miller and her late husband, Skeets; a granddaughter Cheryl Miller; and a great grandson, Justin Miller.

Ruth loved working with her hands doing needlepoint, sewing, crocheting and was an avid reader.  She was a member of the Tuesday Craft Group at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.  She also enjoyed playing canasta with friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Saturday, August 21, 2021 after 9:00 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 919 Tennis Avenue, Maple Glenn, PA 19002 followed by her Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Her interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
