Sandra Lee Fisher of Warminster, Pa. passed away July 24, 2024 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 81. Sandy was the beloved wife of Donald Fisher, who together would have shared 56 years of marriage on August, 10th of this year.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Hadfield) and Andrew Alexander III.
Sandy grew up in Abington, Pa., and graduated from Abington High School in 1961. She spent nearly 10 years working as an administration assistant before marrying her husband Don in 1968 and thereafter became a stay-at-home mom to raise her three boys. Sandy was a loving mother and devoted "Mom-Mom" to her grandchildren. She was their biggest cheerleader, and could always be found in a gym or on the sidelines of any sport or activity in which they were involved, and she never missed an opportunity to tell them how wonderful and special she thought each of them were. She was a huge Philadelphia sports fan, but reserved the most love for "her Sixers," with Allen Iverson and Tyrese Maxey being two of her all-time favorites.
When her boys were in elementary school, Sandy was very active in the Longstreth Home and School Association, participated in a bowling league for many years and later on enjoyed years of fun with close friends in a monthly card club. Some of her favorite things included her annual family vacation to Ocean City, NJ, playing the slots at "The Parx," and a good chocolate milkshake; but what she loved the most was spending time with her sons and their families.
In addition to her husband of almost 56 years, she is survived by her sons Patrick (Jennifer) of Collegeville, PA, Brian (Robert) of Ringoes, NJ and Scott (Gina) of Horsham PA along with her precious grandchildren Hana, Matilda, Jane, Will, Gabrielle, and Drew. Sandy always believed that children are the "Rainbow of Life" but grandchildren are the "Pot of Gold."
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30th 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd, Hatboro. A Memorial Service will be held directly thereafter on Tuesday at 11:30 am at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or stjude.org.
