Shirley I. Siess

Shirley I. Siess of Hatboro, PA passed away on July 19, 2025 in the Memory Care Facility of
Sunrise of Dresher. She was 83. Shirley was predeceased by her devoted husband, Richard
Siess, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. She was born in Philadelphia the daughter
of the late W. Herbert Heffner and Gertrude I. Heffner.
After graduating from Germantown High School Shirley was employed by Bell Telephone until
the birth of her son Richard. She then became a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She
enjoyed caring for her family and many pets, cooking, sewing crafts, gardening, occasional trips
to Cape May and volunteering and participating in numerous events with BuxMont Baptist
Church and Abington Hospital. She will be remembered by friends and family as a kind and
generous woman who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband, Shirley was predeceased by her son Richard. She is survived by her
grandchildren Richard, Nicholas and Kelli Siess, her brother W. Herbert Heffner, Jr. and his wife,
Diane of Northampton, niece Lisa, nephews Herb and David and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation at 11:30 AM followed by a memorial service at
12:00 PM in Bux-Mont Baptist Church, 309 W. County Line Rd., Hatboro, PA 19040. Interment will
be private.
