Stephen Irwin Obituary

Stephen J. Irwin, recently of Blackwood, NJ, passed away in his home on Thursday, August 6, 2020. He was 61 years old. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Scott and Elizabeth (nee Kennedy) Irwin.

Stephen’s outgoing personality and always wanting to be the life of the party awarded his life with many close friends for whom he loved dearly. His years of coaching two of his son’s baseball teams touched many young men’s hearts to which even some still call him Coach today. He will be missed by many people.

Stephen was a loving father to Sean Tyler, Curtis (Amanda), Ashley (Corey), Alexandra (Peter), Austin, and Arielle; loving Pop-pop to Chase; and dear brother to Scott (Elaine) and Kenneth (Patricia). He is also survived by many loving extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York  Road, Hatboro. A private family service will immediately follow. His interment will be held privately. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 25 people will be allowed inside of the building at a time, social distancing practices observed, and masks are mandatory.
