Therese C. Kernen

Therese Catherine Kernen of Warminster, passed away peacefully at home

surrounded by her family on May 19, 2023. She was 83 years old. Therese

was the daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine Heileman. She was

preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert William Kernen.

Therese was also preceded in death by her five siblings, Catherine Suarez,

Joanne Spicer, Germaine Lowry, Laura Cozzi and Arthur Heileman Jr.

After high school,Therese was a lay teacher for St. John Bosco in Hatboro.

She was forever a teacher at heart and was always willing to help anyone

with school work. The dinner table always converted into a mini classroom

and whomever had a need was welcome. Eventually she worked for

Abington Federal Savings and Loan. She retired from there as a bank

manager. She treasured her retirement, especially the time spent at the

family cabin in the Poconos.

She is survived by her children, Therese DiNenno, Robert Kernen Jr.

(Donna) and Margie Drake (Dan). She was the proud grandmother of

Danielle DiNenno, David DiNenno, Joe DiNenno, Kimberly Kocsis,

Christiene Cusworth, Robert Kernen III, Daniel Drake Jr., Tyler Drake, and

Matthew Drake. Nine great grandchildren also brought great joy to her life.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday May 27th, after

10 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd. Hatboro. Her Interment

will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park Cemetery, Ambler.
