Thomas Ball Obituary

It is with a heavy heart we announce that Thomas Ball passed away on July 6, 2021. He is survived by his two daughters, Marianne (Brian) and Melissa; his grandchildren, Jocelynn, Owen, Chris, and Sophia; his brother Charles (Linde); sister Christine (John); his nephews and their families; and his closest friends, John and Jerry. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Shari and his sister, Anita.

Tom was born April 13, 1943, to George and Mildred Ball in Fairfield, Iowa. Shortly after leaving home, Tom enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed mainly in Germany during the Vietnam War. There he worked as a plane mechanic and kept his guardian angel on its toes keeping him safe. He also liked to tell the tales from his posting in Wisconsin, where he would spend hours out on the open flight deck when it was 30 below. After he was honorably discharged, he moved to Chicago where he attended the DeVry Institute and eventually became a Service Rep with a wide territory and a loyal client base. There wasn't a machine made that he couldn't fix or a person he met that he didn't befriend. Through his work he was able to travel the world, spending time in nearly every country and exploring most of the United States. If there was a highway, he likely traveled it. He called the road his home, living out of a suitcase and traveling from client to client, until one day he met a beautiful brunette that lived in his Connecticut apartment building. Once he saw her, that was it for his wild ways and Shari became his home. They married in 1979 and had two daughters.

Tom was a strong willed individual who was always happy to help out anyone in need and he loved his family dearly. He loved fishing and just relaxing in the great outdoors. He is now at peace in heaven with his wife, Shari, who was his world.

His family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. followed by his Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Schneider Funeral Home, 431 North York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.
