Thomas Thern Obituary

Thomas W. Thern of Warminster passed away on August 11, 2022.  He was 82 years old.  Thomas was the beloved husband of Joanne Thern with whom he had shared over 59 years of marriage.  Born in Philadelphia, PA he was a son of the late Carl J. Thern and Edna E. Campbell

Thomas is survived by his loving children; Paul C. Thern and his wife Kelly, and Heidi Cassidy and her husband Robert, and daughter-in-law Peg Thern.  Grandchildren; Erica, Scott, Troy, Courtney, Skyler, Steven, Kayla, and Danielle: Great Grandchildren; Adelina, Logan, Everett, Caleb and Roman.  He was predeceased by his sons Steven Thern and Jeff Thern.

Thomas was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War and was a member and past Board Member of the Vereinigung Erzgebirge Club. He retired as the Zoning Officer of Warminster Township at the end of his career. Thomas also enjoyed spending time with his family in Ocean City, NJ, and also with his wife at their VE Club cabin on Sunday mornings.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, August 20th after 9:30 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro followed by his Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. His interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Thomas’ memory may be made to Vereinigung Erzgebirge Club, 130 Davisville Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
