Valentine P. Ortolani, a resident of Wesley Enhanced Living, formerly of Horsham and Willow Grove, passed away on July 13, 2024, one day short of his 95th birthday. He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen D. Ortolani with whom he shared over 67 years of marriage.
Val is survived by his children, Lynn Goldkamp and her husband Michael and Stephen Ortolani and his wife Leslie, six grandchildren, Julia Politano (August), Michelle Sinnamon (Jeffrey), Jeffrey Goldkamp (Nibha), Caitlin Leonard (Ryan), Meghan Ortolani and Andrea Ortolani, five great grandchildren, Brooklyn and August Politano, Flynn and Shay Sinnamon and Zoe Leonard. In addition to his wife and parents, Val was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
After graduating from Abington High School in 1947, he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Val used his technical training with the army to begin his career as a Systems Analyst with RCA. He attended night school and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from LaSalle College. He retired from GE/ Lockheed Martin after working on projects for the Department of Defense with the Space Program.
Val and Eileen raised their family in Willow Grove and later moved to Horsham. They were fortunate to have good friends and to be able to travel to many parts of the world. They spent summers in Stone Harbor where Val enjoyed golfing and fishing with his friends. More than anything, Val loved spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family Monday, July 22nd after 10:00 am at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA and are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
