Wayne Stephen Markovich of Warrington passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2026. He was 79 years old. He was born in Warminster, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Zarko Markovich Jr. and the late Dorothy Wurst.
Wayne graduated from Central Bucks West High School in 1964 and from Spring Garden Institute in 1967. He began working at Markovich Auto Parts in 1966, eventually owning the business from 1992 until his retirement in 2020, and gave more than fifty years of his life to the trade. His love of cars carried into his weekends, too. From 1978 to 1992, he was a dirt modified car owner at Flemington Speedway, fielding cars and backing the drivers who raced them. Above all, Wayne was known for his quiet generosity. He put others first as a matter of course, and those who knew him knew he would give the shirt off his back without a second thought.
Wayne is survived by his son, Wayne Markovich, and his wife Patricia of Warminster, PA; his daughter, Shannon Goldstein, and her husband Brian of Horsham, PA; and three grandchildren, Wyatt, Rowan, and Payton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Zarko G. Markovich, in 2021.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM folllowed by his Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 North York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.
